Vazhndhu Kattuvom Project

TNRTP @ Vazhndhu Kattuvom Project (VKP) is a World Bank assisted project launched in 2017, implemented by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj. It is funded by The World Bank and Government of Tamil Nadu in the ratio of 70:30, with a cost outlay of Rs. 919.73 Crores ($123.74 million).

The project aims at rural transformation through strategies that focuses beyond poverty alleviation by building sustainability and prosperity of rural communities through enterprise promotion, access to finance and employment opportunities.
